Overview and Parameters of BLW-BgColorChange (Settings)

The sign tool in use only shows arrows without alerts or pop-ups. By reflecting BLW-BgColorChange on your MT4 chart, you can change the background color of the chart for the currency pair where the signal appears.

General

There is no need for changes here, so it is fine to keep it as default.

Parameter Input

It is designed to allow various detailed settings.

[Indicator Name]

Enter the name of the indicator file. This time, we are using a sign tool named 'SilentTool.ex4' as an example. Please enter the indicator name excluding .ex4. To prevent mistakes, it is recommended to 'right-click' ⋲ 'copy' the relevant file and paste it. If the name is incorrect, it will not work.

Buffer Number for Up Arrow

Hover your mouse cursor over the area where the up arrow appears on the chart. If you do not know how to read the buffer number, I will describe it below, so please take a look.

How to Read Buffer Number

Click the ' Data Window' icon at the top of MT4 or click ' View' ⋲ ' Data Window' in the menu to open the data window.

If the data window opens as shown below, you are good to go.

The buffers are numbered sequentially starting from ' Volume' as 0, 1, 2, 3, so remember which buffer number has the value output when you hover the mouse cursor over the arrow.

In this case, the number is output at the very top (☊ part), so

for [Buffer Number for Up Arrow], input [0]. By default, it is set to 0.

Buffer Number for Down Arrow

For the down arrow, use the same method to hover the mouse cursor over the down arrow.

The buffer number for the down arrow is ▀, so input [Buffer Number for Down Arrow] as 1. By default, it is set to 1.

Signal Reading Position

Usually, I think the signal appears in real-time, so it is fine to keep this at 0. If the signal appears on the previous candlestick, input [1], and if it appears on the candlestick before that, input [2].

Alert Text When Up Arrow/Down Arrow Appears

The background color can be changed to any color you like from the color palette. It is recommended to choose a color that makes the signal color of your sign tool easy to see.
